This was the sixth batch of Pepper robots which were snatched up soon after the online sales began. The robots were unveiled in the Japanese market on June 18 for the first time and started to go on sale a few days later, with SoftBank providing the first batch of 1,000 units.

In each of the previous five rounds of online sales, 1,000 Pepper robots were sold out in one minute after online sale began.
