Tim Minshall Thinks Engineers Are The Real Superheroes

With a PhD from Cambridge University Engineering Department, Tim Minshall researches, teaches, and writes on technology, enterprise and open innovation and, since 1998, has been involved in helping people get new technologies to market.

This author of Manufacturing Mobility is very concerned that engineering is too misunderstood and that enough young people are not excited enough about it to chose it as a profession.

According to Minshall, what engineers (and industrial designers, we would add) do can be summed up with 10 words:

1)  Invent
2)  Do
3)  Improve
4)  Share
5)  Shape
6)  Build
7)  Why?
8)  Yes!
9)  Oops!
10) Wow!
