| Programmer Daniel Williams is currently in the process of creating a Kickstarter-funded video game that pits presidential candidate Ron Paul against villains from the Federal Reserve. The project is already funded and expected to be a free on-line game by July. |
An avid supporter of Representative Ron Paul is currently creating a video game featuring the 76-year-old Texas Republican and presidential candidate.
Still in the development stages, “Ron Paul: Road to REVOLution” features the libertarian candidate travelling through all 50 states collecting gold (of course) and delegates. Players will also be able to fight “boss battles” against the Federal Reserve system, a frequent target of Mr. Paul and his supporters, who frequently wear “End The Fed” T-shirts to Paul rallies.
Programmer Daniel Williams, describing the game on crowd-funding site Kickstarter and in a web video, said it is “my gift to the liberty-loving community, as well as fans of classic gaming.” While not slated to come out until this summer, the game is receiving some initial support; it took Mr. Williams just a few days to surpass his $5,000 fundraising goal.
From the Kickstarter site for the game:
The Road to REVOLution is a sidescrolling platformer action/adventure game, reminiscent of console classics like Super Mario Brothers and Sonic the Hedgehog.
You play the role of Ron Paul and make your way across all 50 states collecting Gold (sound money) and Delegates ...
Collect Delegates to ensure your seat as the President, collect Gold Coins to unlock branches of the Federal Reserve where you defeat bosses and progress your quest to end the Federal Reserve.Williams was suprised that the project surpassed its funding goals so quickly. "I have to thank DailyPaul.com in particular, for putting my post on the home page! Also, I received some very generous pledges... Completely took me off guard, and I am eternally grateful."
