Maximize Your Productivity With These 5 Apps

From to-do lists all the way to calendar and converter apps, there are thousands of apps available online and finding the right ones can be time-consuming. Here are a few of our favorites.

In the last decade, our mobile devices experienced a massive growth. From just having an option to call and text somebody in the past, now we can take pictures, browse the Internet, play very complex games and much more. All from a device that can fit in the palm of our hand.

Wherever we go, we bring our smartphones with us. Since the difference in speed of their processors and the ones that can be found in our notebooks is becoming negligible, they are basically computers that can fit in our pocket. They can be used either as our personal assistant or as a tool for helping us save time and boost our productivity.

In the near future, using our desktop PCs for work will be a thing of a past. Even today we can do almost anything from our iPhones, iPads and Android devices. As they say, there is basically an app for everything.

Never-ending scrolling is the most like scenario when searching for productivity apps available to download. From to-do lists all the way to calendar and converter apps, there are thousands of apps available online and finding the right ones can be time-consuming. Let’s take a look at some of the best ones!

PDF Document Scan
Scanner App - PDF Document Scan

If you scan a lot of documents at your work, then you should definitely have the Scanner App installed on your phone. It allows you to create PDFs or JPGs from any documents only by using your smartphone camera. You can create grayscale, black and white or color scans.

Also, there is no need to crop or resize the image because Scanner App has a built-in border detection. It has some other neat features like choosing between low, medium and HD scan quality, multiple page scanning, protection of your documents by locking folders and scans with a password and much more. You can also share scanned documents with various apps and cloud services.

The one cool feature is that you can convert Gmail attachments and files from Dropbox, Box, Google Drive, iCloud, and OneDrive directly from the app which is useful for people who like to keep everything on the cloud. Also, with their industry-leading OCR technology, you can even convert scanned and complex PDFs which is complementary with the Scanner App we mentioned before.

Considering that all conversions are done on the servers, the app won’t drain your device battery. Besides, if you are concerned that your documents can be compromised, don’t be because after the conversion is complete all documents are being deleted from the servers.

Dashlane Password Manager
Dashlane Password Manager

Dashlane Password Manager is an app which saves all of your passwords and other sensitive information in one place. There are many apps that are promising the same service, but we would recommend Dashlane because it offers a lot of features, it has a pretty straightforward user interface and it hasn’t been hacked in recent years. The app can automatically log you into websites and apps, and can generate strong passwords for you on the go.

You can also store your banking and payment information in the app. It’s safely encrypted and the primary service is free. You can even sync all your logins and data across various devices, but you will need to pay a premium for that. There is a possibility for two-factor authentication which we highly recommend using.

Todoist is a "Smart Schedule" app that relies on machine learning in order to recommend the best dates for you to schedule tasks. You can create tasks and subtasks, attach labels, share and debate about items with friends and coworkers. Further, you can access your to-do lists and notes via their website or by an app on any device.
