 Technology
Several corporations have shown a level of innovation and forward-thinking, allowing their technology to make the world a better place to live. Here are but a few.

The technology of the modern world has produced inventions and discoveries that as recently as a decade ago, seemed like something out of a science-fiction novel. As humans continue their quest to master all areas of the scientific world, there have been several corporations that have shown a level of innovation and forward-thinking, allowing their technology to make the world a better place to live.

Cardiac Science

Cardiac Science

Cardiac arrest is one of the most serious emergency situations anyone can face. As life hangs in the balance, every second counts. Many times, these events happen in public places such as schools. It's estimated that one in every 50 schools has a cardiac emergency per year, and in many situations the lifesaver proved to be an Automated External Defibrillator, or AED.

Cardiac Science, based in Wisconsin, has led the way in developing AED units that are so simple to operate, a child could use one. Their Powerheart AED G3 unit is considered the standard for today's AED units, with its voice prompts and easy to understand text screen that allows anyone to operate the unit. A major advancement with AED units has been their ability to calculate electrical impedance and automatically increase the energy needed by the machine to deliver a second shock to a victim.
