| Researchers have discovered a new molecule that will make your teeth cavityproof and may change dental care forever. They have appropriately named it Keep 32—for your 32 teeth. The product can kill the bacteria that produces cavities in 60 seconds flat. |
Thus they discovered that the molecule Keep 32 eliminates the bacteria Streptococcus mutans that causes cavities in teeth in just 60 seconds.
Given its potential, and a provisional patent on the molecule in the U.S. the developers are seeking funding to complete human trials for a period of 14 to 18 months, to launch the product on the market.
"The molecule not only be incorporated into a gum, but products like toothpastes, mouthwashes, toothpastes sheets, candies, gel and other items that may be inside the mouth 60 seconds at least, "said Erich Astudillo, CEO of Top Tech Innovations, a company that undertook this development.
"In Chile we were seeking funding for two years and no one is interested in putting resources for R & D, "he says. So he joined the Founder Institute (one of the largest incubators and business accelerators in the world) to better model the business and looking for capital in international networking.
"We are currently in talks with five interested in investing in our project or buy our patents, which involve moving abroad to complete product development, "he explains. They have an ambitious business plan targeting revenue of $300 million in the first five years of operation. "We would sell the license to large corporations as personal hygiene, such as Colgate and P & G, and snacks such as Hershey's, Cadbury Trevor, among others."
For those of us who might be a bit far gone with our dental health, other work is under way to regrow teeth from stem cells.

I wonder how soon can this be available in the mainstream market. The Rockford Dentist will sure be the first ones to partake in this development because if I'm not mistaken, the last time I was there, I was blown away by how much advancement they incorporate in that little clinic they have. I hope it won't me cost me an arm and a leg to have this process though.
ReplyDeleteI've heard about this molecule from an article I read the past month, and I'm not yet fully convinced about it. For some reason, I still feel much comfortable sticking to my usual routine of brushing my teeth, using dental floss, and mouth waste to keep my teeth fresh and clean. And if those aren't enough, I would still go to the Omaha cometic dentist every two months just to have dental cleaning.
ReplyDeleteI checked with my tarpon dental if they already use this type of method in treating cavities, but according to them not so many clinics uses this yet. I guess it's not yet been completely proven that this molecule is effective in protecting our teeth from cavities. Hopefully, more researches will be done and in the near future it will be the new cure for cavities.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time that I've heard about this, but I believe that it'll be really helpful in the future. It'll definitely reduce the amount of people experiencing cavity problems. I need to check on a couple of dental websites to figure out if this type of dental treatment will be available soon.
