Inventor Dean Kamen asks, how can we groom kids to become as passionate about innovation? Through the FIRST Robotics competitions, Kamen mimicked the successes of fanatic arena events by hosting competitive tournaments where thousands of students dream up, design, and build robots.

Inventor extrodinaire, Dean Kamen holds more than 150 patents and some of his inventions have been truly revolutionary. Among Kamen's better mousetraps are a wheelchair that climbs stairs called the IBOT, the Segway Human Transporter, and a portable, wearable drug infusion pump that is in wide use. But it's not so much the inventions that distinguish Kamen, it's his enthusiasm for solving problems and the circuitous way he gets there.
